St Patrick's Day

Today is St Patrick's Day and we all dressed up in green. What a smart looking bunch we are! Thank you for your support in bringing along breakfast food for the St Vincent de Paul food bank, it is greatly appreciated.
Triona came to tell us a little about St Patrick's Day and share some Irish stories with us. She even showed us evidence of a leprechaun's visit. Thanks, Triona, we enjoyed your visit.
Thanks, too, to the Parent Council for our green lollipops.

Bridget, our 'best dressed green person'

Yesterday we tried our hand at writing 10 word sentences about an object, without mentioning the object. Here's some of our sentences - see if you can work out what we are talking about!

Barking, sniffing, jumping, scratching, running, loves bones, my best friend. Declan

Patting my furry and fun thing, licking my face. Natalia

It runs fast, it's a scratchy thing, it jumps up. Roisin

Strawberry flavour, sun melts it, lick it, it's cool. Bree

Fluffy, slobbery, stinky, cuddly, digs, a loud sound. Nicholas

The sun melts it and the taste is strawberry cone. Samantha

Furry, sharp teeth, likes food, has a ball and collar, walks and plays. Harriet

Melts in the sun, lots of flavors, taste is superb. Finn C
