Term 2 Week 3 'Star of the Week'

This week's 'Star of the Week' is Trinity.
Ka pai, Trinity, it's great to have you in Room 5.

Yesterday was Natalia's 7th Birthday. Today we sang 'Happy Birthday' to her and wished her all the best as a 7 year old.

This morning Ronald McDonald visited our school. He came to give us a road safety message. We all enjoyed his presentation and will spend this week's writing sessions retelling Ronald's message.
Here's an extract from Nicholas

Guess what! He lost a sock. What a worry for Ronald McDonald.

This week is NZ Sign Language Week. We will be learning to sign the days of the week and the months of the year and how to spell our names in sign language.

On Friday 8 May we will be having a mufti day - run by The Young Vinnies. We ask everyone to wear red, white and/or blue as these are the colors of the Nepalese flag, and to bring a donation to which will be sent to Nepal via Caritas.
We will also have a hockey session with a Canterbury Hockey Coach. Children will  need to wear sports shoes for this.
